Sports Conditioning
Preseason, Off-Season, and In-Season Training

A sound conditioning program begins with a strong foundation phase that includes both cardiovascular fitness and muscle endurance. The higher the level of achievement in these areas, the greater potential you have in your selected sport. Fast Forward's Athletic Conditioning program allows athletes to develop overall strength, improve cardiovascular fitness, sharpen their speed and ability for explosive action, and reduce the risk of injury.

Programs differentiate between preseason, off-season, and in-season to associate periods of time with specific phases of a competitive sport season.

Each phase has the following goals:
Off-Season: This program is used to develop general overall body strength and muscular endurance. Attention is given to total conditioning and a balanced program. This program is usually the longest in duration.

Preseason: This program is changed to develop strength, power, and local muscular endurance in muscle groups predominantly used in a particular sport. Focus is given on areas susceptible to injury during the upcoming season (elbows, knees, ankles, shoulders) This training period is between 6 to 12 weeks. Fast Forward Athletic camps are offered for select sports during that sports off-season to prepare athletes for the rigors of the upcoming season.

In-Season: The goal of this program is to maintain the training gains made in the off-season and preseason programs.
